Biodiversity Learning Trail
The 2026 Bukit Lawang Trust Conservation Festival event was not a conservation festival but a Biodiversity Learning Trail and held on 23rd of november 2025.
As always, we were happy to join, help out a bit and visit this fantastic event.
An event to showcase Trust students work and the great programs of the Bukit Lawang Trust Charity and Community Center; with small talks and presentations, the opportunity for local business participants to present their work/ selling their products, a river clean up activity, a bazar, free snacks, a biodiversity gallery, and more.

The event aims to raise awareness for the magnificent Leuser Ecosystem / Gunung Leuser National Park, Sumatra, and its conservation and protection.
It wishes to inspire the local community to care about conservation and to begin to see the potential of Bukit Lawang as an eco-tourism destination, to educate the local community about protecting the rainforest & orangutans and to bring together NGOs working together in and around Bukit Lawang.
Thank you very much for organising this event again to the team of the Bukit Lawang Trust charity.
